Early 2023 saw the launch of the CleanAirNet project, co-funded by EIT Manufacturing (European Institute of Innovation & Technology) and led by Is CLEAN AIR Italia S.r.l., a company that is a member of Cubit.
The project aims to improve, industrialise and commercialise compact devices based on APA (Air Pollution Abatement) technology, so as to extend the market to small indoor spaces such as offices and schools.
To this end, in addition to an unobtrusive design in the form of mini-panels or flower pots, the new devices will be enhanced in terms of quieter operation, breakdown of contaminants in water, lower water consumption and reduced maintenance, and the ability to detect viruses.
Cubit is a project partner, together with CEA (Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives), Comesvil S.p.A. and iPOOL S.r.l., and will contribute to improving the performance of the APA device and to the final testing phase, making its expertise and laboratories available.
