Cubit Contributes to the European DUCA Project with Support from International Researchers

As part of the European DUCA (Data Usage Control for Empowering Digital Sovereignty for All Citizens) project, Cubit recently hosted two seconded researchers at its Navacchio facilities: Daniele Canavese from IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse) and Muhammad Iftikhar Umrani from South East Technological University.

The DUCA project focuses on developing compliance frameworks for artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, with the aim of strengthening the digital sovereignty of European citizens. During their collaboration period, the researchers contributed to the advancement of the project’s objectives by presenting two highly specialized seminars that addressed the latest developments in AI and cybersecurity regulations. Among the topics discussed were the Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

These collaborative sessions underscored the importance of a shared approach to addressing the technological and regulatory challenges of the digital future. Cubit, along with its DUCA project partners, is proud to contribute to a stronger and more resilient digital Europe.
