Cubit has been involved in the electronic design and firmware development of a device for measuring and transmitting electricity consumption data for residential users, on behalf of a major Italian energy distributor.

The ammeter clamp transmits the data to a home gateway through a Z-Wave ZM5202 interface. It measures the total accumulated active energy (Wh), instantaneous active power (W), RMS voltage (V), and RMS current (A).

Cubit has taken care of the compliance certification with all electrical safety standards for the device, as well as activities aimed at obtaining the Z-Wave Plus mark. The device is registered on the official Z-Wave Alliance website.
