Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications in the marine field have reached a high level of maturity, enabling the integrated analysis of the performance, stability and dynamic behaviour of high-performance vessels in real sea conditions. The use of unsteady free-surface models with six-degree-of-freedom rigid-body motion makes it possible to realistically simulate the interaction between the aerodynamics of the above-water parts, the hydrodynamics of the hull and the dynamic response of the system.
