In recent years, the predictive capabilities of CFD codes have improved steadily, thanks to the combination of increasing computing power and ever more effective and efficient software. The use of GPUs (Graphic Processor Units), now possible in the ANSYS-FLUENT code, looks highly promising. It is already possible to resolve complex flows with great accuracy in the representation of detail, and in the near future mathematical models such as LES and DES will become the standard.
