CUBIT presents at the International CAE Conference 2021 the new milestone achieved with Syroco, heading towards the Speed Record

CUBIT will be participating in the International CAE Conference, taking place in Vicenza from November 17th to 19th, 2021. During the Transportation Session on Friday, November 19th, they will present the paper “An Innovative Optimization Procedure for Supercavitating Foils” which was developed in collaboration with Syroco and with the participation of the University of Pisa.

This presentation will introduce an innovative optimization procedure conceived by Syroco’s Design Team, working together with CUBIT’s fluid dynamics and CFD simulation experts. The goal of this procedure is to achieve the best possible hydrodynamic performance for the foil, taking into account multiple factors, including structural evaluation and the technological feasibility of the wing.

All these aspects are managed using various CAE software, guided by a sophisticated optimization algorithm. This approach has led to a 25% improvement in performance, defining a geometry that is not only hydrodynamically efficient but also feasible and safe for use in the project’s conditions.

Implementing this procedure greatly enhances the design process by autonomously managing multiple design aspects and simplifying tasks. This minimizes machine downtime and allows engineers to focus on new and intricate aspects of the supercavitating foil.

Don’t miss the opportunity to register for the conference, which can also be attended remotely due to the hybrid nature of the event, at the following link.
