The computer hardware is a fundamental tool for every company operating in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), and significant investments have been made in this area.

However, we realize that it can be complex for companies where CFD is not their core business to own and maintain such tools. Therefore, we offer some partitions of our cluster, complete with software licenses, to streamline their business processes. This allows them to have access to state-of-the-art tools only when truly necessary, for medium-short periods, and with customizable requests based on their needs.

Available Hardware

Currently, we have an AMD cluster with 9216 cores, each with 2GB RAM/core, with a computing capacity of 100Tflops and Infiniband at 60Gb/s, managed in collaboration with INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics) of Pisa.

This cluster makes Cubit unique among national SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises). Not only we can handle high complex cases, but we can also autonomously manage a large number of activities in parallel, respecting the tight timelines of the industrial world.

Additionally, we have three workstations for data analysis and workload management with 256GB, 128GB, and 96GB of RAM.

The graph below shows the evolution of our computing capacity over the years, starting from close university partnerships and then merging into Cubit’s Fluid Dynamics Division. This graph demonstrates the continuous and growing investment in computing resources, which we believe is necessary to remain competitive in the contemporary market.
